Christians Sentenced to Death – Granted Appeal Offers Glimmer of Hope

Jul. 09Christians Sentenced to Death –

How have you spent the last 10 years? Working? Raising a family? Maybe completing a college degree? For our client Amoon Ayub , the last decade has been spent as a death row prisoner in Pakistan, falsely accused as a Christian for posting blasphemous content online. However, we are cautiously hopeful as the Supreme Court of Pakistan has finally...More

A young Christian has been sentenced to execution by hanging for his faith.

Ahsan Masih was falsely accused of blasphemy, tried in a Pakistani anti-terrorism court, and sentenced to death – even though no evidence was presented against him.

Two other Christians had been falsely accused of desecrating the Quran, and an angry Muslim mob burned down over 20 churches and 80 Christian homes in response. The Muslim rioters shared images of the supposed desecration, yet Ahsan – who wasn’t even present during the riot – was the only person arrested as a result of the event for allegedly sharing the same “blasphemous” image.

Now this young Christian man will hang for his Christian faith.

We’ve mobilized our legal team on the ground in Pakistan to represent him, and we’ll take his case all the way to Pakistan’s Supreme Court.

We’re representing numerous Christians on death row in Pakistan. We’ve helped free other Christians – such as Christian mom Asia Bibi, who was charged under the same barbaric law – from death row before, but we can’t do it again without YOU.

No one should be put to death for their faith. Time is of the essence. Take urgent action with us.
